About Hosts:

Phil Andrews, Master Networker has lectured throughout New York State at various colleges and universities. He was the Vice President and Marketing Director of the Haircut Hut franchise for over a decade. He is also featured in a book published by, Mr. Robert H. Adams entitled, 15 years of Minority Business Development. Currently, he is the Public Relations Director for Hempstead Horn Newspaper, African Atlantic Genealogical Association, and 100 Black Men of Long Island. Mr. Andrews is a current member of the Caribbean- American Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Inc., Former Chairman of Public Relations for The United Black Men of Queens, Inc., and member of the New York Association of Black Journalist, National Black Public Relations Society of New York, and Urban League of Long Island Young Professionals.

In October of 1995, Mr. Andrews was presented the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce/Roosevelt Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person of the Year Award.

In 1998, he was presented with the Nassau Council of Chambers/West Indian Chamber of Commerce Small Business Person of the Year Award. He has also received a citation from the 18th Assembly District of Long Island New York, Assemblywomen Earlene Hooper Hill. In 2005 Mr. Andrews received a Proclamation for Outstanding Service to New York's 10th Congressional District presented by Congressman Ed Towns. Mr. Andrews has received Proclamations from former Nassau County Executive Thomas S. Gullotta, and former Town of Hempstead Supervisor Mr. Richard Guardino. In December 2005 Mr. Andrews was inducted into the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. as a Member Visionary.

Phil has served the community in multiple ways. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Roosevelt Chamber of Commerce, Roosevelt Kiwanis, 100 Black Men of Long Island, and the West Indian Chamber of Commerce as the Public Relation Director. Mr. Andrews currently runs a business network named the "Power Networking Business Seminar Series". As a certified mentor, he is looking forward to mentoring more young men as well as continuing to work and serve communities. Mr. Andrews was featured in the NY Report Magazine as one of the Top Networking Organizers in the NYC metropolitian area.
